      Focused Feedback

Netflix uses a very simple framework for teammates to offer constructive feedback to one another. Working in pairs, they follow this simple approach for a feedback conversation focused on improving each other's team performance:

1. Here's one thing you are doing very well that I think you should continue doing.

2. Here's one thing you should probably stop doing.

3. Here's one thing you should start doing.

Professional development is more fun if you turn it into a team event. Every 6-8 weeks the team at Mom's Organic Market watches a 45-75 minute webinar or video as a group, then they debrief together afterwards. As well, they all read the same business book, then each team member debriefs on one chapter of the book.

“I believe we can build a better world! Of course, it’ll take a whole lot of rock, water & dirt. Also, not sure where to put it."
