			Are You Laughing WITH Your Team?

	It's time for another smoke-infused edition of random musings and ideas... According to an article in Yesware, sales e-mails that include humor receive substantially higher response rates - up to 46% when humor is included in the message. Put a sign on an empty chair in your meetings labelled "CULTURE" to remind everyone of the importance of including your culture in every meeting discussion. Here's a great meeting conversation topic: If you could magically infuse your colleagues with three qualities, what would they be and why? Ernest Hemingway would always start a paragraph before he finished writing for the day so he wouldn't face a blank page the next morning. What can you do to bridge the end of the day to the start of the next day, so you start the day with some momentum? A researcher at the University of Tuebingen in Germany found that when people laugh AT someone a different part of their brain lights up than when they laugh WITH someone. The study also found that there are substantially different social consequences involved when we laugh with people instead of at people. An easy way to involve your customers while subtly marketing a new product or service is to include them in surveys.
