Customer Service Loyalty Month |
|
|
|
April is Customer Service Loyalty Month. Here are six customer service messages everyone in your business needs to hear and, more importantly, live out loud!
- Customer service is your #1 competitive advantage that you have total control over.
- If you don't take great care of your customers, your competitors will!
- Meeting expectations isn't enough. Meeting expectations only keeps you out of the customer service doghouse! You need to exceed expectations and/or do something different to stand out.
- Customer service is a game of inches. It's the little things that will annoy your customers and the little things that will make all the difference.
- Extraordinary customer service that creates loyal customers is about delivering consistently good customer service. Consistency is the key!
- There's a huge difference between being a long term customer and a truly loyal customer. Do you know the difference and are you actively working to not just keep your customers, but to convert them into raving, loyal ambassadors for your business?

Mike's Fun at Work Tip |
|
If you want to encourage people to be in the moment with each and every customer, then try what one of my clients did: They created a week long contest where employees of every stripe had to keep a running tally of the number of blue eyes they encountered. Then they rotated through different eye colors each week for another month. Everyone was on the honor system and a prize was awarded at the end of each week. This simple contest encouraged people to slow down and connect more
personally with each person they interacted with.

It's a Wacky World |
|
This probably isn't the kind of customer you want to encourage loyalty from, but a bank robber in Dallas was so impressed by the kindness and service he received while robbing a bank that he left the teller a sizeable tip!
