Popping Out the Humor Helps Treat Your Customers Like Humans
It's been a minute since I've shared one of these fabulously fun customer responses. My dear friend and long-time subscriber Linda Leclerc (who, as a Laughter Yoga guru will definitely appreciate upcoming Belly Laugh Day) sent this email response she received courtesy of Simply Living:
All was quiet today until the Simplify Living warehouse intercom crackled to life:
“Listen up people! We’ve got a new order for
Linda...”
…but no one could hear the rest of the announcement over the thunderous roar of applause.
Champagne bottles were popped.
Tears of joy were shed.
‘Don't Stop Believin' by Journey blared from every speaker.
Even Derrick, our Logistics Manager smiled—and Derrick never smiles.
Simply put, your order caused pandemonium and everyone at Simplify Living is thrilled to have earned your business.
Once we clean up our celebration mess, we’ll be working to get your order packaged, shipped and on its way to you
ASAP.
Now, why wouldn't we all inject a little more levity and humanity into all our correspondence, whether it's internal or external? It needn't be this full on silly... it could be even sillier! Or it could just be a dash of humor sprinkled gently in to let us know there are real human beings being human
behind the message!
