I recently stumbled upon a list of employees' least favorite workplace buzzwords. Topping the survey were phrases such as, "lean in," "circling back," holistic approach," and "value proposition."
The article
pointed out that there is scientific evidence that suggests that using "fuzzy words" like these leads to "fuzzy thinking," which, you may have guessed, isn't the most helpful type of thinking.
So, as a fun reminder to keep your workplace language un-fuzzy, why not hold a fun survey to create a list of your team's or organization's top-10 most annoying buzzwords and
phrases.
